detachment of plaster, architectural barriers, lack of cleanliness: the already precarious conditions security faced in the classroom, as reported by the Seventh Report of Impararesicuri Cittadinanzattiva (attached press release with the main data on the safety of schools), could be added the problem of overcrowding.

Le norme esistenti per formare le classi prevedono:
  • Il massimo affollamento consentito in aula è di 26 persone di cui 25 studenti ed 1 insegnante (Norme prevenzione incendi, art. 5 D.M. 26/08/1992)
  • Lo spazio vitale previsto per ciascuno studente secondo il tipo di scuola è indicato nella tabella insieme con e l'altezza delle aule non inferiore a 3 metri (D.M. 18/12/1975)
  • In presenza di uno studente con gravi disabilità il numero massimo è di 20 alunni per classe (Legge 20/08/01 n. 333, D.M. 24/07/98 n.331, D.M. 03/06/99).

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL ... ...

.... So we are back to school and things do not go well at all, just as we said and repeated in assemblies, meetings, events .

It was a bad dream.

We tried not to think about while we were at sea or in the mountains this summer.

But now we're back and we will begin soon to find out what it means to school age Gelmini.

Not all teachers are still making ben conto delle ricadute concrete sul loro lavoro, anche se intanto ogni Istituto inizia a fare i conti con gli insegnanti e i bidelli tagliati, i pomeriggi in meno, le compresenze decimate, le classi sovraffollate, i bilanci in rosso…

Ma se i docenti sono ancora in stand by, peggio va per le famiglie che non sanno assolutamente nulla della situazione in cui versano le scuole .

E di questo dobbiamo ringraziare l’informazione che non ritiene la scuola degna dell’attenzione che merita o, peggio, veicola le dichiarazioni rassicuranti (e false) del governo.

And to round off ..

ZERO EURO is the amount transferred last school year by the Ministry to schools to cover expenses for the normal operation :

stationery, paper, toner for copiers and printers ink, chalk, first aid equipment, cleaning classrooms and bathrooms ...

The provision for supply teachers, reduced by 50% in recent years has been exhausted in the spring by schools, which have been found to affect the funds allocated to other (projects, fund school ..) to be able to pay salaries to the alternates.

Per il momento le scuole si reggono sui contributi “volontari” delle famiglie…ma la Costituzione non afferma che la scuola pubblica è gratuita?

E NOI CHE FACCIAMO ?

Possiamo fare finta di niente e adattarci…

Possiamo brontolare e poi adattarci….

Oppure possiamo cercare di non rassegnarci, cercando di far conoscere a quante più persone possibili cosa sta realmente accadendo alla scuola pubblica.

"Why insist? - Some say - now the cuts have been made ...

Why not have the idea that the school goes ahead anyway, without shaking, despite the staff cuts ... economic impoverishment.

Because the cuts will not end here, and perhaps the conscience of the disaster will change your idea to someone at the top ...

Why is also a battle of dignity, at least for people who do their jobs well and believe in role of the school to society.
